Dutch actor Famke Janssen (above) won many hearts with her portrayal of Jean Grey in the X men film series, and would love to play the role again. The 52-year-old actor, who played the telepathic and telekinetic mutant in the franchise, said the role has been an ever-giving gift.
“Jean Grey is a part of me. I would definitely come back to play her whenever they ask me. It’s the gift that keeps on, kept on giving. I think we’re done, but it was really great while it lasted and it lasted for a long time,” said Janssen at Denver Comic Con.
The actor added that being a part of the films was a privilege for her. Janssen featured in three films from the franchise, X- Men, X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. Her character was killed off in the third film. She also did cameos in The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Currently, actor Sophie Turner will star as Jean Grey in Dark Phoenix, the fourth in the “next generation” series following the first three movies, First Class, Days of Future Past and Apocalypse.
