Pakistan on Wednesday the resorted ceasefire by shelling mortar bombs and opening fire on forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, drawing retaliation from Indian Army.
After violating the ceasefire in Poonch district earlier on Wednesday, the Pakistan Army opened fire in Naushera sector of Rajouri district.
There have been eight ceasefire violation in the past four days and total 12 ceasefire violation along the LoC and the IB in Jammu region since January 1 in which one civilian has died and seven others were injured.
Defence ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta said: “The Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate firing of small arms, heavy automatics and Recoilless Rifles on the LoC in Naushera sector also.”

The firing was still on.
“The Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate firing automatic arms and 82 mm mortars in Bhimber Gali in LoC,” the spokesman told IANS.
There have been three ceasefire violations on June 12.
On June 12, Pakistan Army fired mortars in Indian posts in Krishna Ghati sector along the LoC in Poonch.
The Pakistan Army violating the bilateral ceasefire during the last fortnight resorting to indiscriminate shelling and firing, especially in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
The Indian Army says it is being done by Pakistan to facilitate the infiltration of militants into the Indian side.
